All Summer ‘16 Playlist

by share

Music plays a very important part in our culture right now. People use music to wake up, work out, party, etc. I combined some current personal favorites and songs that specifically relate to the summertime with the help of the Billboard Hot 100 list to curate this summer 2k16 playlist.

  1. “Can’t Stop the Feeling” — Justin Timberlake

This song was made for the Dreamworks animated movie “Trolls,” currently ranked number two on the Billboard Hot 100 list and it really just makes you want to dance — like the songs says.

  1. “Don’t Let Me Down” — Chainsmokers ft. Daya

While being currently ranked number five on the Billboard’s Hot 100 list, this song is good to listen to when you’re headed out and you’re hoping your plans don’t let you down.

  1. “I Got the Keys” — Dj Khaled ft. Future and Jay-Z

At spot 34 and continuing to rise, Dj Khaled is still promoting the keys to success in this new song that is good and motivational. Having Jay Z and Future on a song is the key to a successful summer song.

  1. “This is What You Came For” — Calvin Harris ft Rihanna

At number four on the Hot 100 list, this song’s electro beat really compliments Rihanna’s high pitched voice in the song and gives a nice catchy beat for you and your friends to sing along, too.

  1. “No Limit” — Usher ft. Young Thug

This song’s catchy tune and the odd but interesting pair of Usher and Young Thug creates a great product for people to vibe during the summer.

  1. “All the Way Up” — Fat Joe and Remy Ma ft. French Montana

Summertime is definitely the time to have fun or even just get rest. This song still makes you just want to go out and have fun.

  1. “Sorry” — Beyoncé

“Lemonade” definitely brought a lot of hits, but  “Sorry’s” catchy repetitive hook gives a carefree feel for the summer. It’’s also number 28 on the Billboard’s Hot 100 list.

  1. “One Dance” — Drake

Drake is constantly making hits, and this number one ranked reggae feeling song really gives a refreshing new side of him for people to have fun with.

  1. “Work From Home” — Fifth Harmony ft. Ty Dolla $ign

This song about staying home and not having to go to work really relates to us as teens during the summer who don’t have to go to school which is work. Jam to this number 12 ranked song to remind yourself “you don’t gotta go to work.”

  1. “Cake By the Ocean” — DNCE

This song has one of those tunes where you just want to get up and jump around at a party. Even though it’s ranked number thirty-seven, it is still a great song that fits the summer vibe.

Click here for the playlist of all these songs except for Beyoncé’s “Sorry,” because unfortunately it is not on Spotify. (You have to have the Spotify app to hear it.)
