Today, I learned our school has little respect for us and our administrators made a choice to alienate themselves from the students they are supposed to serve and protect.

The students are anticipating this protest because to them, it will raise awareness about gun violence in America. With over 15 percent of the school attending, they intend to come in big numbers with a bigger voice.
All that we students ask is that people work toward making a change and that we gain our safety so that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is the last shooting. The last lives lost from a school shooting. And the last grief caused by a school shooting. That is ALL we ask to be worked for.
