Teens Ask the Next Atlanta Mayor, ‘What Will You Do?’ [VIDEO]

The race to become the next Atlanta mayor ended with a runoff between city council members Keisha Lance Bottoms and Mary Norwood. We asked metro-Atlanta teens what they wanted Atlanta’s next mayor to know.

“A lot of politicians, they’re more are about pointing out problems and the issues that we have, but they don’t really provide solutions,” said Raeed Zaman, a 17-year-old volunteer with United Way’s Youth United.

From education to immigration, traffic, combatting discrimination in the city and improving nature preserves — teens want to see regional leadership from the next Atlanta mayor. Listen to them in this new video.


Maya, 17, is a first-year at Agnes Scott College, where she learns about all the wrongs in the world and what to do about them.
